Clinical interests: I work with children, adolescents, and their families who have a medical problem that affects their psychological adjustment or psychological problems that affect their health. Practicum students are involved in clinical assessment, therapy, and consultation within the hospital and occasionally with schools. Issues addressed may include management of recurrent or chronic pain such as headaches or abdominal pain, anxiety contributing or related to a physical symptom or a medical condition, grief and support following diagnosis, and adherence to treatment regimes. Treatment approaches tend to be CBT and behavioural.
