Social Identity and Perceptions of Social Groups

You are invited to participate in a study that Dr. Victoria Esses and Rama Eloulabi are conducting, entitled “Social Identity and Perceptions of Social Groups.”

We are looking for youth (between 18 and 30 years old) living in Ontario, who are from, or whose background is from, Algeria, Bahrain, Comoros, Djibouti, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates, or Yemen. The study examines social identity, attitudes and perceptions towards social groups through interviews with participants.

Your commitment would involve verbally answering questions about your social identity, your experiences, including experiences of discrimination, and perceptions of social groups. The interview will be held virtually over Zoom and should take less than 2 hours of your time.

Your participation in this study is entirely voluntary and confidential. Participants will receive a $30 gift card compensation for their participation in the interview.
