Goal Setting Theory: A Framework for Studying the Effect of Goal Priming on Organizational Behavior

In my talk I will explain (a) how, in the late 1960’s, I became interested in conducting research on goal setting theory (GST), (b) aspects of GST that are often over-looked by researchers, and (c) my transition from a skeptic to an advocate of pursuing research on the effect of primed goals on organizational behavior.
